CG Website design work

in PC by Asterix - Oct 12th 2017

Hello everyone, we're looking for someone to redesign the CG website's front end from scratch. This would be paid work, if you run your own design company we'd be happy to give you a shout-out that the website was designed by you, but we'd not be putting a "designed by XXX" permanently in the footer of the site etc.

The website would need to support quite a few of the existing features of the site, but not all of them.

CGP/CGI/AEM player contracts rule update.

in PC by Asterix - Sep 2nd 2017

2017 has seen the professional esports scene in Australia grow in an unparalleled way compared to previous years. As such we are adding a new rule that will be in place for this upcoming CGPL season and covering all future CGp and CGi leagues across the site as well as for our sister site Australian Esports Masters.

Quote from Rule: 3.10:
Contracts between players and organisations will be upheld by CyberGamer on CyberGamer run competitions (CGP, CGI and AEM) until either their expiration or termination as a result of an agreement between the individuals involved and the organisation. For this rule to take affect organisations will need to provide evidence showing that a valid and active contract exists between the player and organisation and on the other end players will need to show evidence that they have been let out of their contract or have been bought out in a legitimate manner before being allowed to join a new team.

[MWR] Season 3 Leagues Selections & Further I...

in PS by TheRealPhadez - Aug 25th 2017

Hello everyone,

It's time to announce our final season of leagues before WW2, Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare RM 5v5 Invitational Leagues Information!

The best teams and players on the platform will battle it out over ten weeks of intense competition for the distinguished title of league champions, as well as a slice of the illustrious prize pool up for grabs.

This thread contains a comprehensive breakdown of the competition. Although this thread may be extensive and exhausting to read, we cannot stress to you enough that each section is read carefully if you are considering competing in leagues, as it all is extremely relevant to the overall operation of the tournament.

Hopefully the unmatched support in terms of prize pool and comps this COD has been enough of a give back to the grind that you guys have put in for blokes

The season will be broken down into two separate phases, as reflected in the schedule further down in this announcement.

5v5 Search and Destroy League

  • ALL Teams selected by admins unless otherwise necessary
  • 6 week Pool Play period (28th of August - 8th of October),
  • Each match will be a Best of 2 using a modified veto system (explained below) with F/A and H2H used for tied placing
  • 4 Week Finals Period (9th of October - 5th of November),

  • The 5v5 Leagues will consist of CGi, CGm, Cga & CGd.

    # of Teams
    Entry Fee
    Age Restrictions

Phase 1: Pool Play
Pool play will consist of all teams playing each other once over a seven week period. These pool play fixtures will be randomised from the teams invited to each respective league.

5v5 Matches will consist of 2 match's per week. Each match in the Pool Play season will be a single map.

Tied Placings
In the event of teams having the same Win/Loss ratio at the conclusion of the pool play, we will not use a playoff. We will use the Head to Head result of the teams tied, if the teams can still not be split we will use F/A ratio to determine who will advance to finals.

Phase 2: Finals
At the conclusion of the round robin phase of the competition the 4 highest seeded teams will progress into the finals bracket. The finals bracket runs under the format of a 4 team double elimination bracket. An example of the format can be seen in the spoiler below.

Finals for each league will be conducted as such:
*5v5 will consist of best of 3 maps and best of 5 maps for only the Grandfinal with no continuation using veto system
*This format will be identical for both CGi, CGm, CGa & CGd
