Welcome back! Its time for the Logitech CGPL Season 2 Winter Championships and League of Legends has been drafted as one of the two competing titles. This means you all get to battle it out for a share of the prize in skill based divisions! Its good to be back and as before we will see our professional division or division 1 competing on LAN for their share of the prize while divisions two and three will compete online for some great prizes.

Nows the time to kick it into high gear as we have a grand total of $8395 in cash and hardware prizes provided to you by our major partner Logitech, and our supporting partners at Netgear, MSI, Mwave, AMD, and of course BenQ who will provide our much loved XL series gaming monitors for the live finals.

This season we will make a few changes compared to CGPL Season 1 where only 8 teams will be competing in division one, with 4 advancing to the finals playoff. Division 2 will see twelve teams competing with 6 advancing to the final playoffs. And not to forget our beloved Amateur Division who will be competing in a Swiss style tournament of 5 rounds, with the top 25% of starting teams (to a maximum of 8) going through to a finals One Day Competition.

Round 1 - 3rd - 9th August
Round 2 - 10th - 16th August
Round 3 - 17th - 23rd August
Round 4 - 24th - 30tht August
Round 5 - 31st August - 6th September
Round 6 - 7th September - 13th September

SPECIFIC LEAGUE RULES AND INFORMATION
Challenging System

It's very important you adhere to these rules because as you will see there can be some really harsh penalties for your team if you do not. You will see that the way the offering system is structured it will allow ample time for a match to be discussed, organised and played. Again, make sure your team is ready to go prior to signing up.
  • From the time the challenge is created, Team One will have 48 hours to offer some times to get the ball rolling. Once the times have been offered, Team Two will have 48 hours to accept one of the times. Please do this as quickly as possible to minimise any possible delays.
  • Punishments for Delaying the challenging time period will be a loss of 1 map in the Best of three. Throughout the last season the CyberGamer Admin team was lenient regarding this problem, this season we will be enforcing this rule to the best of our ability.
  • Challenges not placed within the 48 hour timeframe will be handed to the opposition to offer times. The counter offer will have 24 hours to be offered.
  • If a counter offer is not placed then admins will select a time for the match to be played - this will be on an available day of the week at an admin's discretion, and played at 7:30PM or 8PM.
  • Challenges not accepted within the 48 hour time frame once offered will be handed back to the challenging team to select a time they offered for the match to be played on.
  • Please keep in mind this system is only used to efficiently set the match up. At the end of the day both teams must be in agreement to the time chosen. Whether that be one of the times offered or whether an admin has to manually set the match time. It's in your best interests however to use the challenging system to its capabilities to limit any conflict among teams and times.
  • Rosters will be capped at a total of 8 players per roster.
Each week the League of Legends Admin Team will set up your matches for the current round on a Friday evening or Saturday morning. This will give teams the upcoming week to have the game completed.

Refunds
Ok so firstly, you need to understand that when money is involved, things start to become much more important. Upon receiving money from a team, Cybergamer is then held accountable for their actions regarding rulings and definitions of the competition. This is something that goes both ways. Refunds will NOT be given out in most circumstances. The moment you join the league you have entered the league. Regardless of whether you play a game or not, your team will not be refunded your entry fee. Best you make 100% sure you're ready to commit to the league for its duration. For a refund to be made the circumstances must be overwhelming and we will ask for evidence to back these claims up. We realise this is very blunt but it's important you do realise the power of your actions once your team has paid and been placed into the competition. The schedule is nothing more than what you already approximately spend playing already. It's much more important that you stay committed for yourselves and your fellow teams. :)

DATES & SCHEDULE
The dates listed in this thread are what you will need to know and put aside some time for in the coming months. Keep in mind, to run effective and efficient leagues times MUST be adhered to. We won't have time to go around chasing teams around the universe. That comment will be 100% accurate. We will not have time for teams mucking about. Read the dates and either commit to those dates or don't bother. I know we sound extremely harsh there but there's nothing worse than 1 or 2 teams ruining a well organised paid competition. Thus there will not be any tolerance for negligence or incompetence from teams.
This being said, if a team fails to Offer times to their opposing team, the team will face a 1 map penalty, this will mean that they will go into this game 0-1

Rosters :
Teams are limited to eight players total on their roster. Teams may substitute players on their roster at any time during the season, however, a player is not eligible to play in a match if they were not on their teams roster by the time the match was accepted and scheduled. Teams may NOT play any player who is not on their CyberGamer League team roster.

A player may only play for a maximum of TWO teams across all leagues within any one season.

Teams may not make changes to their roster on the day of the finals.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Your team will abide by all forum, match, game and league rules.
  • Your team will complete the entire competition and not drop-out.
  • Your team will play every match and every round of every match.
  • Your team understands that failure to adhere to the above three points will result in bans, these bans will be for the rest of the Season, if decided by the admins, these bans could extend.
  • Your team understands that if they hinder a match or the competition in any way they can face harsh bans.
  • Your team understands that during the competition no team members can be kicked or removed from your team roster unless done so by Admins.
  • Your team understands that nobody may leave the roster, whether by their own free will or not, unless they're getting replaced with the teams core changes.
  • Your team understands that the Admin Team reserves the right to make decisions at their discretion.
  • Your team understands that instances of cheating and so forth will be resolved on a case-by-case basis, with all investigation and ruling being made by the Admin team.

MATCH COVERAGE
You will be kept up to date with the matches that are being shoutcasted within the forums. All shoutcasted matches will be recorded and will be available to view at any time. Please note that shoutcasters from TeamdownTV hold the right to cast any game.

We had issues with teams like Jrdns consistently failing to offer or accept times, either in a timely fashion or at all, which pushed timing back.

If teams arent going to keep up with their match schedule, they should nor participate. We have taken measures as written into the rules above to make sure teams who fail to fulfill their side of the bargain lose out.

Had a tonne of fun playing in CGa last season. Definitely recommend teams to sign themselves up for this, great experience all around.

Can't wait to see who will take out CGp and some new blood teams showing themselves.

Great work CG!

Just touching on this, never had an issue with any admins throughout the entire season. Just prior to finals we had a roster issue and the admins were very patient, supportive and responsive, so not sure where your comment is coming from.

As a competitor from last season's CGPL, I can honestly say that our team never encountered any problems with any of the moderators and it was a satisfying and smooth experience to say the least, in fact mods like Scream had helped us resolve any/and all issues we came across and were very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
Bring on CGPL S2!
