Rankings

1 - Legacy eSports

Soma, Penor, GroovyGrape, Eren | + 2
A new number 1, and their first, is Legacy in a hot streak of form following an amazing hot streak of form. Out of 6 tournaments entered this week they won 5 of some of the highest impact tournaments we've seen in our region to date, most notably the ESL Invite Qualifiers. In case you're wondering, the other tournament they didn't win they still came in second. Since the pick up of GroovyGrape they've been a more convincing outfit and now are confirming themselves as a force to be reckoned with ahead of the ESL LAN at PAX. They are without a doubt the team of the moment, but will they be able to maintain their position at the top?. - n0lsk1

2 - Athletico

Bango, SnarfSnarf, Montyconnor | + 1
After my weeks of constant ranting about Athletico not pulling their finger out, they've finally set themselves up and started winning a few games! With strong performances over Altitude and FuroX in HYPE, a domination of Legacy in the ESL Invitational (at least one time) and then qualifying for the ESL Pax LAN, Athletico have finally proven that they need to stay at the top of the power rankings. Losing to Legacy in the grand final of the ESL Invitational is most likely the only reason they avoided the top spot, but will be looking to take it off them as soon as possible. - Nutterres

3 - Abyss eSports Club

Express, Addzey, Cyrix, Debat, Dumpling | - 2
It was a tough couple of weeks for Abyss. They lost The Chase Grand Final to Corvidae and then lost Mockit to Legacy dropping 6 games to 1 in a double series comeback (most games going to Overtime). They were feeling off their game and ESL PAX $5000 Tournament was announced so they had to find that confidence back. Going out in straight sets to Legacy and Corvidae in the Invite, they dropped to the losers in the open and grinded it out going 18-1 in the losers (before Athletico) to take out the last remaining 4th spot. This team is still capable of big things, but recent performance will drop them from 1st to 3rd.

4 - Corvidae

Siki, Daze, Ssteve, Daisu | - 2
Corvidae manage to have high highs and low lows. A powerhouse when they are on point, but if they are having an off day, then it really shows. This week we saw them take notable 0 - 3 losses each to FuroX, Legacy and Phoenix gaming, which prevented them from qualifying for the ESL LAN. While we've seen them able to take down anyone, it's consistency that will allow them to reach the top. For now, we've seen Daisu step down in favour of the young gun SSteve, as they hope to find the perfect combination. - yumi_cheeseman

5/6/7 Tied - Alpha Sydney

Dumbo, Stoney, Dicky, Shawthing | Nil movement
Alpha Sydney technically disbanded last week but are still also kind of around for Rocet (with Abyss's Cyrix) and possibly the ESL Monthly Final. They withdrew from the PAX ESL Invite and in the Qualifier Stoney and Dumbo competed with Toxic95 as Team Blaa which was taken out by Abyss in the lower bracket 3-1. As they are kind of still around they still slot in here to tied 5/6/7.

5/6/7 Tied - Gameroos

aoe_emp, Plitz, DabeastXD, Julz, yumi_cheeseman | + 1
Gameroos had a very strong week in comparison to their previous few weeks. With a strong performance in the Gameroos Thursday night tournament, losing only to Legacy in the grand final, taking it to a game 5 and pushing the boundaries, it seems as though the core roster for Gameroos is starting to bond and work well together. Strong performances against FuroX and Prodigy in the ESL Invitational losers bracket made sure that they barely missed out, with a weak performance against an even weaker Corvidae team. Hopefully these guys can pull together and push harder in the coming weeks with the aim of jumping above Alpha Sydney and attempting to solidify a strong 5th position. - Nutterres

5/6/7 Tied - Rocket Devils

Drippay, Jake The Tyrant, Torsos | New
Rocket Devils, formerly known as Cringe Society, formerly known as Pay2Play has had as many names as it has weeks existing under its belt! Their first week on the power rankings comes off some great results, Taking out the ESL Open Qualifier to reach ESL LAN, with a very notable 3 - 0 victory against Abyss in the winner's bracket to send them to Melbourne. They've managed to take down other top teams, including victories against Athletico, but as a brand new team, it will be interesting to really see whether they have the consistency and power to break into the top tier of the region. I'm loving the idea of the team, three 1v1 players with a focus on mechanics. If they work hard on their team-play, they'll certainly be a team to watch. - yumi_cheeseman

8 - FuroX

0veerBluee, Dreameh, Zepsy, Kapow_power | - 1
The young side are at it again making waves and turning heads. Falling a position only to the explosive entry of the very impressive team of Rocket Devils. Not to detract from FuroX's success this week with the main highlight finishing 2nd in ESL Go4RocketLeague weekly tournament. Still a team with major potential and a lot to give, it will be interesting to see how they respond to the new team on the block. - n0lsk1

9 - Phoenix Gaming

Epanai, EyeDeeKay, Noizee, Kubix | + 4 New
Phoenix has found their way back into the top 10, in at 9th. With a few teams higher disbanding and coming 1 match away from the last PAX ESL LAN to play for $5000 (loss to Abyss 0-3) they are moving up the rankings. They will have to maintain some strong performances though to keep the top 10 in weeks to come as there are a few teams ready to burst into the rankings. There are a lot of players shuffling around in the scene right now trying to find what works for them. This week though a happy Phoenix side that is looking to be back on the rise after some quiet weeks.

10 - Prodigy

Beatnik, Deselution, Sid | - 1
Prodigy are facing some rough times at the moment, with Kia leaving and results not going their way they have a hard task ahead of them. Their strongest performance came from the ESL Open qualifiers albeit with an unofficial sub of Eoin. Unfortunately, beyond that they haven't been able to offer much of a fight against teams they're not used to struggling against. Keep an eye out however as they will not take this weeks results lying down. - n0lsk1
