‘Dandy’, owner of Velox and runner of the Velox tournament, has yet to pay out prize money to the top placing teams in aforementioned ODC. The entry fee for each team was $10 and with 14 teams paying their fees, that means that they had $140 to their disposal to pay out the prize money. ‘Dandy’ has also been extremely shady about it, claiming that he spent it all on “server fees” and “international costs” (whatever that means). The Velox tournament was extremely outclassed by the Dislekek June tournament so I doubt we will see another Velox tournament (that isn’t their 1v1 ODC). This is extremely shady practice by Dandy and has no place in the CGs community.
EX-SCUFFED (Former Top 20)
Former ‘Scuffed’ and ‘Innervate’ players of ‘Skcoot’ and ‘Johnald’ are looking to make a new CGs team for the Autumn season. With Innervate, these players proved they could cause ripples in the CGa scene, so it will be interesting to see what roster these players can pull together.
VELOX (Team) (24th)
Discussion has surfaced over in the ‘Velox’ camp that players ‘MinTi’ and ‘TeXy’ could be kicked due to personal issues with player ‘HEXED’ at the end of the season. Lowlevel has learnt that the team has been on ice for a while, with the IGL 'HEXED' turning up to multiple games drunk. This has caused conflict within the team and this could be the main reason that Velox is thinking about roster changes.
Tensions within the ‘Innervate’ lineup have been at a high lately with members getting into confrontations with each other and voicing their issues with each other in argument. Clashes between 'Jevendale' and 'Zefno' have been the main source of these issues. They seemed to have reconciled which could mean that 'Innervate' could return to full strength soon however these could surface into a possible roster change in the near future if their differences are inconsolable.
SUMMIT GAMING (3rd)
With ‘DannyG’ eyeing an offer from the CGg team ‘Exsto Gaming’ at the end of the last CGa season and ‘Summit Gaming’s' dominance throughout CGs and ESEA Open, you’d have to imagine that teams in low-mid CGg might be looking for members from the ‘Summit’ roster to improve their lineups. The performances from players like ‘Vexite’ in that roster make them very attractive for those teams looking to make an impact in the semi-pro Oceanic scene. ‘Germstar’, nearing age 30, may also be looking for a way out of the team soon as mumbling at the end of last season heard he was looking to step down from competitive CS for good. This was proven to be not the case when ‘Summit’ failed to make it deep in the CGa finals and were kept down for another season while ‘DannyG’ did not receive his ‘Exsto Gaming’ position. Who knows what the end of this CGs season could bring for this ‘Summit Gaming’ roster? There has also been rumours that some high-level players may join the line-up. With 'Keeyto' standing in for them in the Dislekek June tournament, he may have a spot on this team replacing 'Frazell' if he so chooses, however with 'Keeyto' playing at CGp level for 'MC-Esports', LowLevel wouldn't think that this would be a truly considered move.
CHEATING ACCUSATIONS (3rd and CGg)
CGp player 'cookie' from 'Carnage' has accused 'Summit Gaming's' 'CrimZM' of cheating in ESEA Open and, by extent, CGs. This comes after 'Summit Gaming's' upset win over 'Carnage' in ESEA Open (19-16). 'cookie' also accused 'CGg' player 'dAt' of cheating in the same tweet. His teammate 'tham' and 'YetiBacon' of 'MC-Esports' backed up this statement in their tweets. EDIT: Tham is now a good boy and retracts his agreement.
TOP 10 CGs
“Conformity Esports” is currently leading the CGs ladder after beating IDK (16:13), PC419 (16:7), and CintX-FIRE (16:13). “Conformity” is now on a 9:1-win loss ratio in the league and have a 33 elo buffer between themselves and second place “Insight” who have a game against “Conformity” on Thursday. IDK holds down 3rd place after a loss to “Conformity” on Sunday. 4th (Mineff) and 5th (Mystery Inc.) have a 1 elo difference between the two after both win all of their games from the past week. “Summit Gaming” has moved up to 6th after wins against “Klein” (16:11) and “Aurifex” (16:13). Summit Gaming have been getting great results in ESEA Open with wins against Carnage and Vizard. Positions 7(Extricity Storm), 8 (KBlitz), and 9 (Cartel) all have very similar elo level with the difference from 9th to 7th being only 15 points. In 10th is “Exodite” who has “Yeah Nah”, “PC419”, and “Defying History” all breathing down their necks for that top 10 position.
